It's That Time Again ...
Time for our club's Humorous Speech and Evaluation
Contest. The date will be August 30, 2006 and here is an overview.
Humorous Speech Contest
Any member in good standing can participate. The speech
is for 5-7 minutes and the material has to be original. The club winner will go to the area contest September 16th. Also please
remember that this can count as a manual speech with a written evaluation.
Evaluation Contest
We will
have a guest speaker from outside the club and the contestants will evaluate the speech. The time is 2-3 minutes with a 30
second grace period.
Any member in good standing can participate and the winner will advance to the area contest.
We will need to fill the following positions:
Contest Master
Chief Judge
Judges
Timer
Contestants
We will discuss it more this coming Wednesday.
Find your funny bone, practice your evaluations and
get ready for August 30th.
